week 6

Hi everybody,
Here are 5 great tools that will help you with the teaching of speaking writing or reading:
1.     You can create fictional What’s App conversation using  http://www.classtools.net/SMS/ website. Instead of reading unseen you can create a dialog on your own and bring it to the students in class. The students can read it out loud or use it as an example for making a What’s App conversation of their own.
2.     Voice chat- when I asked students to practice their reading I have no way to check if they actually did it so I use smart phone voice chat - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_chat. the students record themselves reading the text and I can check their reading.
3.     Debate- I have never experienced debate in English. when I have started my Hasava I saw that many teachers encourage it and once I did it I understood that it really improve my English. you can find many topics in the website http://idebate.org/view/top_100_debates.
4.     Spelling- I don’t really like spelling bee but in language like in English spelling Is a must. there are many words that are not letter sound corresponded so spelling practices help to improve the student’s language. use the website http://www.spellingcity.com/ to work on spelling. There are many activities in it.
5.      story jumper- the truth is that students do not practice their writing enough in school. in order to help students write more you can use the website http://www.storyjumper.com/. the students can write their own stories in simple stects. the website is friendly and easy to use. the students will enjoy it.
